About Dubai South Properties
Dubai South was launched by the Government of Dubai in 2006 as Dubai World Central and renamed Dubai South in 2015. The 145-square-kilometre city is built around Al Maktoum International Airport. Dubai South Properties is its master developer; its Group CEO Nabil Al Kindi has led the company since 2019.
Its first residential communities were The Pulse — apartments, townhouses and villas — and The Pulse Beachfront, a sold-out community of 788 villas and townhouses. Pulse Villas were launched in 2021 with 342 units.
Its flagship is South Bay, with more than 800 villas and townhouses, more than 200 waterfront mansions and a 1-kilometre lagoon; South Bay Mall opened in November 2025. Newer projects include South Square, Hayat townhouses, South Living, Parklane and Beachfront Gates. According to Forbes Middle East, 2,550 units were completed and 2,670 were under construction as of January 2026.
