Seven Tides was established in 2004 by Sultan bin Sulayem, who chairs the company; his son Abdulla bin Sulayem is CEO. The company combines property development with hotel ownership.
On Palm Jumeirah, Seven Tides developed Anantara The Palm Residences with 442 apartments next to the Anantara resort, as well as Dukes The Palm. In London it acquired the Dukes hotel in Mayfair in 2006.
